Tourist Information Center was open in 2000 and provides maps, information and brochures. Here the visitor can find information related to:
- accommodation
- descriptions of the main objectives of tourist interest in Sibiu & Sibiu County
- suggestions about spending your time
- promotions of various local companies.

American and Canadian citizens as well as citizens of most European countries do not need an entry visa to visit Romania (for stays up to 90 - ninety - days).
However, a valid passport is required for all international visitors except for citizens of the countries of the European Union who can enter Romania with their Identity Card.
There is no Entry or Departure Tax.

The Romanian Telecommunication agency is called Romtelecom and the postal service is Posta Romana.
The telephone numbers have ten digits: the first four digits – 0269 - indicate the Sibiu code and the rest six the number. When calling from abroad dial 0040269 following by the six digits number.

BUS

There is a bus station near the airport entrance, allowing connections with various area of the city (bus
lines no 11, 112, 116, 117 and 118).
You can buy a ticket from the dispenser placed near the station, but you need romanian money. The ticket price is about 0,35 EUR.

Taxi
There is a Taxi station in front of the Terminal (on a dedicated lane). If there aren't available cabs or you prefer a specific company, our staff from the Information office (located in the public area) can make an order for you, free of charge.
The cabs bringing passengers to the airport have free parking access in front of the airport’s terminals.
Suggestion: use only cabs which displays the transportation license, the prices and are using taximeters.

Sibiu is an important node in the European road network, being on two different European routes (E68 and E81). At a national level, Sibiu is located on three different main national roads, DN1, DN7 and DN14.
The Romanian Motorway A1 will link the city with Pitești and the Romanian western border, near Arad. The remaining 161 km of motorway towards Arad, out of a total of 281 km, are under construction and expected to be completed by 2016, while the timeline for the segment towards Pitești is targeted for completion for the year 2020. Sibiu' s ring road as part of A1 motorway was completed on December 1, 2010.
